The LymeLight Foundation’s 2024 Dart for Art is Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM. This year’s event is at a new venue, the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, and promises to be a fun-filled and exciting evening. Beyond being an amazing event and a lot of fun, Dart for Art raises funds for children and young adults suffering from Lyme disease who cannot otherwise afford treatment. Since its inception in 2011, LymeLight has awarded grants totaling $9.3 million to 1,339 individuals in 49 states. Kerns has been proud to sponsor Dart for Art since it began 13 years ago.

The evening begins with art viewing, cocktails, and a buffet dinner. There is a raffle, and Kerns is excited to provide the prize once again for this year’s event – a stunning pair of diamond hoop earrings. After dinner, guests are welcomed by the LymeLight Foundation, there is a live auction, and the lucky winner of the raffle is announced. Finally, it’s time to Dart for Art. This is when guests dart (run) to try to claim their favorite piece of artwork. The evening is topped off with affogatos and champagne, everyone goes home with an original piece of art, and all proceeds go to fund a worthy cause. What’s not to like?!?

The LymeLight Foundation was started by two families who had children diagnosed with Lyme disease. Through their children’s struggles, they discovered the incredible expense of battling Lyme and the inability of many families to afford proper treatment. Unfortunately, most treatment plans for Chronic Lyme are not covered by insurance. Existing Lyme foundations mainly focus on funding research and awareness. LymeLight is the only foundation in the nation with the core mission of funding significant treatment grants for Lyme. The mission of the LymeLight Foundation is to provide grants to enable eligible children and young adults with Lyme disease to receive proper treatment and medication as well as raising awareness about Lyme disease. It is the goal of the foundation to help youth who might other otherwise lead lives of illness, unfulfilled potential and dependency to forge a path towards health and self-reliance.
All of us at Kerns extend a warm congratulations to the LymeLight Foundation for another successful year, and wish them a fabulous 2024 Dart for Art.
